🎤SPEAKER/FACILITATOR/DISCUSSANT….
Hello here; all protocols duly observed!
Thank you for having me again.
I feel so privileged to earn another opportunity from the SEA operators to talk to you in the next few minutes on the topic:
Remember I have been privileged to talk with you on the topic;
1. Mini importation business
2. Freelance service business
Before I proceed, let me further break the scenario to help clear understanding. The case is:
1. You have this business you had loved to do (or go into)
2. But you have capital limitations and it is becoming persistent thereby wasting your time and killing your passion
3. Another problem you have is that you have this ego that makes you hate going to people to beg them to grant you loan as start-up capital. You just don’t like the idea of raising money from outside your own purse.
4. In another situation, you may have been meeting people to help out but they keep giving you reasons for their denial
5. Ok, even at that, the knowledge required to write a winning business plan is not just present with you. In fact, you don’t just have the time to sit many hours before the screen of your PC to start speaking too many grammar in the name of looking for someone who has spare money to flaunt on your business
SO, HENCEFORTH, I like to tell you that;
6. You can still be in business
7. …even if you do not have a kobo on you (home & abroad) as we speak
8. …and personally, you don’t like the idea of raising money through people
9. …even when you don’t mind meeting people, you just don’t have the energy to go through the formalities of writing a well detailed business plan???
YES, YOU CAN! I SHALL SHOW YOU A PRACTICAL APPROACH ON HOW TO GO ABOUT IT
Is your phone internet enabled?
Do you have a monthly data subscription?
Do you have a functional Facebook account and valid email address?
If the answers to these questions are YES, then, WHY ARE YOU STILL BROKE my brothers and sisters?
…you don’t have to look this shock because with these three things: 1.) android phone, 2.) internet connection and 3.) a Facebook account, you are already a CEO of a multimillion naira company-operating right there from the balcony of your home.
YOU WON’T NEED MONEY AT ALL!
Ok, lets start the short trip.
Have you heard of the word “Drop shipping before”? Well, for the benefit of those who might be coming across this term for the first time ever OR those who have heard of it before but didn’t give it any attention, the below information will make the corrections to the wrongs.
What Is Drop Shipping?
A drop shipper is anybody, who take note of businesses around him (either online or offline) to know what goods these businesses manufacture or sell; after which he (the drop shipper) create awareness in form of advert for these goods to his own personal friends and community (either online or offline).
Everything done and dusted online in my parlour.
*How Items are Marketed*
To market this item, I simply
1. Orders just one or two copies of the item. I may not even order at all. All I may need is just a beautiful picture of the item to show my own targets.
2. I can decide to market it to people at the rate of $6 per one…making $2 profit on each
3. If i decide to market it as well on my Facebook timeline, I will simply upload a beautiful picture of this item then accompanied with a good advert speech. I sometimes upload a picture where I was holding or using the item as the case may be
*How I Manage Sales*
If I am very lucky to find customers who are interested to buy, I simply;
1. collect the buyer’s shipping address and other important details
2. receive the money for the item such buyer wishes to buy
3. head to the store I’m marketing/advertising for-to order the item purchased from me BUT IN THE SHIPPING ADDRESS OF THE BUYER
4. The store I bought from then ship the item (which I bought from the money paid to me) to the buyer’s address directly. SIMPLE!
*How I Make Money*
Most times, I do not necessarily get commission from the store I promote. The strategy always use is that I would have added some little amount of money to the original price to my own customers. For instance, I may see a nice cheap footware at #350 and decide to sell it at #600.
There are two major reasons why I do this drop shipping business
1. Because I don’t want to tie my money down. Holding money down may be as a result of stocks which are yet unsold. I can’t just bear the waiting phase abeg!
2. Because I don’t have spare money at all to go into the business. And because I wanted to try it out to see if it works…and guess what? IT WORKS!!!
*Features of Drop Shipping*
1. No Office of Warehouse Space is Needed: As the retailer (that is you) does not keep inventory or goods in stock, there is no need for warehouse or even office space.
2. When retailer receives orders, he/she transfers both customer orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer or wholesaler.
3. The customer orders a product and makes payment to the retailer. The retailer orders from the manufacturer or wholesaler and makes payment for the order and passes on the shipping details of the customer to the manufacturer or wholesaler.
4. Manufacturer or wholesaler is responsible for shipping of the goods directly to the customer.
5. There is no direct communication between the manufacturer or wholesaler and the end-user or customer.
6. There are no costs incurred with respect to repackaging, relabelling, etc.
7. Since the retailer is not responsible for shipping of the goods to the customer, the process is entirely out of his or her hands and may experience some unpleasantness when goods become unduly delayed and the customer becomes uneasy and anxious.
8. Profit of the retailers is usually the difference between the wholesale and retail price.
*Advantages or Benefits of Drop Shipping*
With drop shipping, you can sell just about any product in any market, and you don’t have to:
• *Store your products* (it can be very expensive to rent warehouse space… and who wants to fill a spare bedroom or garage with boxes)
• *Package or ship any products* (can you imagine the hassle of taking orders and boxing them up multiple times a day… and heading to the post office?)
• Most importantly… you don’t have to *put down your money upfront to buy products* wholesale to resell… that you aren’t sure will sell.
*Starting a Drop Shipping Business*
Estimates vary. But industry watchers have found that between 20 percent to 30 percent of online retailers use drop shipping. So it's a proven business model, and you’ll be in good company if you go this route. Even big retailers like Jumia, Konga, OLX etc use drop shipping
*What Products Can Be Drop Shipped*
As with any online business, you want to be in a market that is “hot” and where there is a large number of people ready to buy the products you sell. In the best-case scenario the niche you specialize in should also match one of your personal interests.
*Picking a Drop Shipper*
Before you ever start working with a drop shipper (a business or store), you should go through the order process yourself from a customer’s point of view. You want to see how easy it is to order the product, how long it takes to ship, how the drop shipper deals with any problems.

Remember I have been privileged to talk with you on the topic;

As entrepreneur, you should agree with me that one of the major hindrance to a success business outing is FUND, MONEY, CAPITAL, OWO, EGO, KUDI….
We have been made to believe that we can’t do any business without having good capital…and that we should rather beg for loans if we can
Before I proceed, let me further break the scenario to help clear understanding. The case is:
1. You have this business you had loved to do (or go into)
2. But you have capital limitations and it is becoming persistent thereby wasting your time and killing your passion

Alright, I will hint you my practical experience. I will share with you the approach I use to escape this condition. So, the goal of this presentation is to format our mind and fill it up with possibilities…
SO, HENCEFORTH, I like to tell you that;
6. You can still be in business
7. …even if you do not have a kobo on you (home & abroad) as we speak

YES, YOU CAN! I SHALL SHOW YOU A PRACTICAL APPROACH ON HOW TO GO ABOUT IT
Mind you, I am an Internet Entrepreneur (a Netprenuer) so you should start having an idea of the direction I’m going with this revelation
Yes, I choose the internet because with just my data and laptop or android phone, and a Facebook account, I am 100% ready for business from here in my parlour; and on this my 3-seater bed. L o L

Hence, *drop shipping* is “a marketing business model that allows a retailer (drop shipper) to advertise and sell items on behalf of a store”.
The *drop shipper* doesn’t physically have the item he markets for sale. He is a person who acts as a middleman between the store owners and buyers.
Like in my own case, what I do is to research an online store which sells some interesting and cheap items. I then market these items (at my own will) through all possible means to my friends and people around me.
In other words, this means that in reality, I (the drop shipper) do not actually have the items I market and sell to people; but whenever anyone shows interest in buying those items from me, I simply receive the money from the buyer and use the money to order the items from the real business owner at a lesser price and keep the remaining change…L o L
Everything done and dusted online in my parlour.
When I, the merchant sell an item, the buyer must send me the money via bank payment or mobile money transfer before the order is fulfilled

If you have a passion for a certain market or type of product, that enthusiasm will make your marketing efforts… and by extension your business… will be stronger.
Fortunately, there are drop shipping companies that work with just about every market, niche, and type of product.
Baby items, yoga clothes, electronics, clothing, art, books, beauty supplies, supplements, home and garden items… it’s wide open.
*Picking a Drop Shipper*
Before you ever start working with a drop shipper (a business or store), you should go through the order process yourself from a customer’s point of view. You want to see how easy it is to order the product, how long it takes to ship, how the drop shipper deals with any problems.
Of course, this will also give you the chance to also see the quality of the product. You want to make sure this is something you’ll be proud to offer your customers.
If you are into this niche and have used other products that are similar, you can test the product yourself. Use it. Study it. Does it do what is promised? Is it made of quality material or ingredients? Check the reviews of others online to see if your experience matches up
Thank you all and God bless you all
