*DO YOU HAVE TO BE POOR? THE PRACTICAL STEPS OF BECOMING SUCCESSFUL*

“You will become as small as your c ontrolling
desire, or as great as your dominant aspiration”. James Allen

So becoming poor is an attitude, so becoming successful
*Then, why do you have to be poor?*🤷‍♂

To me, the concept of being poor is to willingly limit our own hearts to regression, to subject our personalities to hurt and bitterness, pain coupled with defeat. Most of us don’t know that through tenacity, persistence, hard work, motivation, goal setting, vision and discipline, we can go a long way to achieve progressive life.
*So, why do you have to be poor?* 🤷‍♂

Listen, don’t just open to read the profile of Adenuga- Mr GLO for frivolity. Kindly leave Otedola’s page on how he attains in his richness if you can’t dare what he dared. Allow Dangote to continue enjoying his huge investment and wealth if you’re a mediocre. Let Alakija enjoys her fame, if you can’t challenge your capability. Thinking about them without taking calculated action will only cause you severe headache, if not heart attack.

There are many intelligent and vibrant under-40 millionaires that you don’t know. Those who desire to plumb the depths of their own being and grow, those who want to move beyond mediocrity and push themselves to excel.

My dears, this is the group you should joined! Increase the volume of the music, change the dancing steps and disengage yourself from bottom pit impoverishment!

Frankly speaking, ask yourself these questions and give sincere reply to them:
• I’m I really poor?
• Why I’m I poor?
• What makes me poor?
• Is this kind of life I want for myself?
• Do I need to conquer my poor financial state?
• What would I do if I could do anything to rescue myself?

When you finally reach an outstanding conclusion on these questions, you have somehow chosen to either drives yourself to the cadre of successful people or remain grounded in the depth of zero poorness.

Before discussing the practical steps of becoming successful, I’ll divert a bit to highlight few qualities of successful people.
1. Optimism
2. Focus
3. Abundant mentality
4. Constant learning
5. Discipline
I intentionally limited the qualities of successful people to five because of time and the nature of this social space.

*Optimism* is all about having a positive outlook and maintaining a rich sense of humour. It is a deep inner belief, despite everything, there is more going for you than against you. An optimist is solution conscious. Therefore, walk out of your poor state of mind, don’t find faults in people, places and issues instead *find remedy!*

*Focus* Orisen Swett Marden says that, “Every great man has become great, every successful man has succeeded, in proportion as he has confined his powers to one particular channel’. This is what I termed as focus!
My fellow TEAPRENEURS😜, I challenge you to focus on being successfully rich! Create a great enthusiasm toward your passion, fuel it with powerful concentration that can catapult you away from barren land to fertile green garden of success.

*Abundant Mentality* Successful people just want to succeed, they want to do well, they want to reach their goals and they are not in any way hampered by a feeling of guilt. This is abundance mentality! When you embrace an attitude of ‘I win, you win’ instead of attitude ‘I win, you lose’. Successful people don’t break other people’s back, they straighten it, even during competition. So think in terms of ‘I win , you win’!

*Constant Learning* Henry Ford once said that, ‘Anyone who stop learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.’ Constant learning makes your mental breadth and depth to be expanded as you consume sound information and give yourself to purposeful contemplation and reflection. The more we learn, the more we realize what we don’t. So, what’s the degree of your learning?

*Discipline* In describing this quality of successful people, Scott Peck wrote that, ‘Discipline is the art to scheduling the pain and pleasure in life in such a way as to confront pain first so as to enhance pleasure later!

Now, what are the *practical steps of becoming successful?*
Check this out. It is only meant for those who want to be who they were designed to be and to live a life of excellence.
1. Create a link with your source;
2. Prioritise;
3. Be good with money;
4. Save strictly to invest, not just for saving sake;
5. Show up instead of showing off;
6. Get yourself a successful mentor;
7. Ignore that doesn’t attract profit return;
8. Create or join highly competitive network;
9. Make your money performs its statutory responsibility.

1. *Create a link with your source*
The source is the origin of everything. Origin in this context is God. Seek Him in all decision, let Him start the journey for you. He is capable of endowing you with abundant inspiration that can transform you positively.

2. *Prioritise*
One of the first things you have to do to become very successful early is to prioritize. You need to decide what you want as early as possible and draw out plans on how to achieve it, your plan should be clear enough and should include things like –What type of business do you want to start, what type of freedom you would have and more. You need to write a personal mission and vision statement in a notebook, plastered it in your room closer to your bed where it will be the first to be seen in the morning and last to be seen before sleeping at night. Think and dream about it and you’ll one day live the dream.
Also part of your plan should include answering questions such as: What would it take to achieve this vision? What behaviours would you need to adopt? How should you budget your money?
Nothing should be left to chance. It is level of prioritization that often makes the difference between those who find freedom, wealth and success and those who don’t.

3. *Be good with money*
Successful people must have a high degree of discipline toward managing money.
They make efforts to positioned themselves for sustainable income, how they can live a life well below their income: No debt (no matter what), saving 20% of their monthly income, not buying things they don’t need, and keeping expenses very low. They also make sure they invest and reinvest to attain measurable profit, low risk and high return opportunities. Remember, show up, not show off

4. *Save strictly to invest, not just for saving sake*
Don’t just save to buy a new car, house, latest designer shirt or shoes. Instead save for the purpose of investing your savings. If possible, open a ‘sacred untouchable account’ for the purpose of investing not emergency.

5. *Show up instead of showing off*
Don’t show off – show up! Don’t buy that new car until your businesses and investments start producing multiple secure flows of income. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.😜

6. *Get yourself a successful mentor*
Most of us were brought up in an environment where information is a hidden treasure. We learn only in classroom but no access to who can share their emperical experience as guide for us. Therefore we have limited ideas on how society functions. If you cannot find a successful person that could mentor you around where you live or work, go over to the internet, read books, study successful people’s biographies to duplicate what they did and how they got there. Get your own personal mentor and study them.

7. *Ignore that doesn’t attract profit return*.
Make it a rule of the thumb that you will never get involved in debt that won’t make you more money. Successful rich people use debt to leverage investments and grow cash flows. Poor people use debt to buy things that make rich people richer.🙆‍♂

8. *Make your money performs its statutory responsibility*
Get your money to do the heavy lifting. Investing is the most legitimate of becoming a successful person and you should make more money off your investments than your work. If you don’t have surplus money, you won’t make investments🕺.

In conclusion, know that, everything in life and ends with God. Your faith and adherence to these steps, is a pathway to success, God’s willing.
In addition, ask yourself: How many Yahoo+ guys and money ritualists have been listed in the Forbes World Richest? Avoid associating success to these illicit and illegitimate personalities. They aren’t successful but failures. Don’t thread their devilish path.
Be ethical, never give up, and once you make it be willing to help others get there too, you’ll make more as you do this.
Thank you.🙏*Seminar Recap On The Treasured Entrepreneur Association TEA Hall Of Wealth General Active Group Page 1 & 2*…..
